DESIGN OPTIONS FOR YOUR HOME EXTENSION KIT
At Trade Price Warmer Living, we put the design of your extension fully in your hands but with our advice along the way.
Thanks to our huge range of customisation options, you can tailor your extension down to the smallest detail. From selecting the roof style to choosing the colours of your cladding, you have the freedom to personalise your extension as much or as little as you like.
Do you prefer a traditional pitched roof or a neat, minimalist flat roof? Bright or muted colours? Slate or shingle tiles? Whatever your vision, we’ll make it a reality.
Below, we’ve explored all the options available for designing your extension. If you have any questions, feel free to get in touch with our team – we’ll be happy to explain our options in more detail. You can also learn more by browsing our downloadable brochure.
Roof Design Options
Thanks to our revolutionary pod system, our extensions can adapt to any pitched or flat roof style you can think of!
Edwardian
A classic shape made up of three sides sloping towards the ridge.
Edwardian hipped
Similar to the Edwardian, but with four sides instead of two. Comes with an aluminium box gutter.
Lean-to
A simple, mono-pitched roof that offers clean lines. Perfect for adding large opening vents.
Lean-to side hipped
Same shape as a lean-to, with the addition of two hips creating two extra sloping sides.
Gable-end
A contemporary look with two sides sloping towards the ridge. You can choose to add a glass gable frame to the front to maximise natural light.
Flat roof
A flat, even roof with no slopes or pitch. Minimalist, modern, and timelessly stylish.
Vaulted Ceilings
Our structurally engineered steel corner braces are concealed within the framework, eliminating the need for structural trusses, tie bars, or tie wires on any pitched roof measuring up to 5 x 5 metres. Enjoy a clean, unobstructed ceiling and plenty of extra headroom!

Benefits of Freefoam Cladding
Easy to Install
All of Freefoam’s cladding products are easy to fit. Whether you opt for the standard PVC-U range or the aluminium range, their fitting trims are specifically designed for a hassle-free installation process.
Low Maintenance
PVC is well-known for its stability and low maintenance. Cladding products made from PVC are exceptionally durable and long lasting, so there’s no need for frequent repainting or maintenance. Maintaining their appearance is as simple as giving them a quick wipe-down with a damp cloth.
Versatile
Freefoam cladding is incredibly versatile, making it a perfect choice for all types of exteriors, including brick, masonry, and concrete. It effortlessly enhances the visual appeal of any project, whether the design is traditional or contemporary.
Energy Efficient
With heating costing more than ever, exterior wall cladding is the ideal way to enhance the insulation of your home and lower your energy bills. When paired with generic insulation materials, PVC cladding has received an impressive A+ rating from The Building Research Establishment’s (BRE) ‘Green Guide to Specification.’ This rating not only reflects the excellent thermal performance of PVC cladding, but also highlights its eco-friendly attributes.
Window and Door Options
We also offer full height, pocket, and corner return windows to provide you with even more design flexibility.
Extension Base Options
When building your extension, you have two options: you can either retrofit it onto an existing base or choose to build it on our innovative Durabase foundation.
Durabase combines a durable steel base with modular wall construction. This winning combination allows you to build it with ease, saving you both time and effort. We also have over 40 brick slip finishes for you to choose from, so you can easily find the perfect match to complement your home’s existing masonry.
